UK Heart Safe Awards 2013 in Association with  physiologo

On behalf of Hand on Heart I would like to invite you to our annual UK Heart Safe Awards on Thursday 10th October at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester Hotel.

The UK Heart Safe Awards, is the UK’s first nationwide awards competition to celebrate organisations and employers who invest in creating Heart Safe environments as well as the acts of individuals who have saved lives while at work or leisure. A Heart Safe environment is one where life-saving equipment and training are provided for staff or customers so that, should a sudden cardiac arrest occur, people are fully prepared to perform resuscitation and life support immediately.

Hand on Heart’s aim is to teach children to save lives and get life saving defibrillators into schools. Holding the UK Heart Safe Awards allows the celebration of those who have already invested in this life saving equipment and increase awareness of the charity and its goal, as well as fundraising for Hand on Heart.

As with last year’s awards, nominations are invited from any organisation or individual who are creating heart safe environments by investing in defibrillators or training in order to save lives, or those that have already acted to save lives. The award evening is about celebrating and recognising companies and individuals to have gone that extra mile in creating a Heart Safe Environment.

Last year we had over 60 companies who submitted applications to the 2012 Heart Safe Awards event.
