We have recently experienced some fantastic developments with our Trafford Campaign whereby the former Mayor of Trafford Councillor Dylan Butt has presented us with a cheque for £24,600 to help us create more Heart Safe environments in the city of Trafford.

 

Since Hand on Heart successfully helped all High Schools in the Trafford are become equipped with life-saving defibrillators earlier in the year, they have continuously worked to install more of the devices across the community, to make them easily assessable for all residents of Trafford. The donated money from Councillor Dylan Butt will help Hand on Heart continue this week and eventually make Trafford Heart Safe.

Councillor Butt has said; “The Trafford Defibrillator Campaign has been an astounding success, extending coverage with simple, easy to use, life-saving equipment for accessibility in public places including schools, shopping centres, recreational facilities and place of worship.

“The success of the campaign has been down to the generosity of the borough residents, charitable organisations and businesses.”

He added; “We all wish these defibrillators do not have to be used but two lives have already been saved by diligent staff at separate leisure centres in the borough during the course of the campaign, making it all worthwhile and potentially saving lives into the future."

 

Hand on Heart is extremely excited with this donation and to continue making Heart Safe areas throughout Trafford and to educate schools and residents on the importance of first aid.
