Hand on Heart won the highest possible award Wednesday 4th December at the Cardiac Smart Awards. The Cardiac Smart awards are an annual awards ceremony held by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS), at the Bolton Wanderers Stadium, Bolton.

 The awards are designed to recognise specifically North-based organisations and individuals, Hand on Heart had to fulfil a series of criteria to gain their Gold Cardiac Smart award which recognised those who are dedicated to promoting and creating Heart Safe communities by providing training and/or defibrillators to schools, companies and other establishments.

Hand on Heart Charity were thrilled to win the award, Fundraising Manager Gina Harris said; “We’re so overwhelmed with pride that our charity has achieved so much over the past 2 years. We’re so grateful to have been awarded this award from Cardiac Smart, and that there’s awards out there which recognise people and organisations like ourselves for the work that we put in to creating safer communities.”
