The incredibly generous teachers and students at Wellington School in Ayr first decided to support Hand on Heart Charity earlier in 2013 after having first-hand experience with someone suffering a cardiac arrest at the school. After the event, where fortunately the student survived after receiving a life-saving defibrillator shock from a paramedic team -

the school purchased a defibrillator to have on site from Hand on Heart Charity. The other students at the school also decided to support Hand on Heart and do a year-long support and fundraiser for the charity. Hosting many different events with a goal to raise £20,000 to help place defibrillators into schools. After there first successful event in September where they help a bake sale - they followed this event with a festive Christmas Craft fair, open to parents and the local public and selling everything from Chocolate Trees, to hand painted glasses and more, even Santa made an appearence!

The event raised over £4,000 which is an incredible step to their final goal of £20,000, Hand on Heart Charity are so incredibly grateful for their support, kindness and need to help equip schools with life-saving defibrillators. With plans to host further events in the New Year, we can't wait to see what fantastic evening they'll be hosting next! Thank you Wellington School and everyone involved!
