Stourport is over the moon to have been made Heart Safe by a Sainsbury's branch in Kidderminster. This is the fourth school the local supermarket has donated a life-saving defibrillator to in the past year!

Sainsbury's Kidderminster chose Hand on Heart Charity as their charity of the year in 2012 and were passionate about helping to create a Heart Safe community in their local area. Employees of the branch got involved with fundraising by taking part in sponsored runs and even providing reflexology and holistic therapy sessions in exchange for donations to the cause.

Samantha Buckly, PR Ambassador for Sainsbury's Kidderminster has said; "It has been a pleasure to help raise funds for such a worthwhile cause, and place our fourth defibrillator package into a local school. On behalf of Sainsbury's I would like to say a massive thank you to Jo Carthew (Breathe Holistic Therapy) for carrying out a reflexology day and donating all funds to Hand on Heart."

Principal of Stourport High has said; "Staff and students are absolutely delighted to be the recipients of the Hand on Heart Gold Defibrillator package and incredibly grateful to Sainsbury's Kidderminster for kindly donating the package to us. Keeping our student's safe is paramount to our school and knowing that we will have an onsite defibrillator with appropriately trained staff in case of an emergancy is reassuring for us all."

Sainsbury's Kidderminster has done a great deal for its local community by providing these defibrillators for schools. As their time working with Hand on Heart comes to an end, Hand on Heart Charity express their gratitude for their efforts in making 4 schools in their local community Heart Safe.
