In July 2013, Hand on Heart Charity contacted your school with news of our exciting Salford campaign to make each and every school Heart Safe, we had a wonderful response and over 10 schools took us up on the offer. We want to continue creating Heart Safe environments in our community and want to offer you a defibrillator and also training for 8 members of staff and 30 children, a little Anne training doll and much more to ensure your school is Heart Safe. • To raise awareness of cardiac arrest in the young
• Fund defibrillators for schools
• Educate staff and students to save lives

The reality of it is, 12 young people die each week due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest, of these 270 a year will die in school. The only definitive treatment for cardiac arrest is a life-saving shock from a defibrillator. A shock much be delivered within the first 3 minutes of a victims collapse to achieve an increased survival rate from 6% to over 74%.
