My Story

Thank you so much for taking an interest in my campaign, I am passioante about getting defibrillators and training into ALL our schools!

Your support is very much appreciated - in memory of my 14 year old daughter, Ani, things have to change in our schools NOW!

Ani died from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) in October 2002. She was a vibrant and passionate member of Camden School for Girls in London. (CSG)

She would be up early every morning to meet up with friends and always spoke with such love and enthusiasm for the school, a true Camden Girl!

A defibrillator would have increased her chances of survival by 74%........ I am passionate about getting defibrillators in to all schools and in her memory I am raising funds to place  defibrillator packages which include AED training for staff and Basic Life Support training for pupils into the Camden and surrounding areas.

It has been 13 years since her death, defibrillators are portable, compact and incredibly easy to use. The only access in the past has been via the emergency services.....this may be too late as was the case for my Ani.

Total raised so far:

£26,377.00

How I am fundraising

I recently held a  "Supper Evening" of Indian vegetarian food, the event took place on the evening of,  Saturday 11th June at Camden School for Girls.  The event was a great success and provided a massive boost to "Ani's" campaign.

King's Cross Academy.

After recieving their defibs, each of the schools have pledged to raise funds and "pay it forward", that way other schools can become Heart Safe and keep Ani's legacy going, we hope to create  more  "Ani" campaigns in different areas of London, hopefully by adopting this model we can make a significant difference to the number of Heart Safe schools in the area.
