Shivohn, a young teen from Merseyside was at home earlier this year when she suddenly suffered from a cardiac arrest, Shivohn sadly died from heart failure despite having no previous illness or heart problems.

Teenager footballer Quinton Barham makes his return to the pitch for the first time this week, since suffering a cardiac arrest 6 months ago in February after scoring a hat-trick on the pitch at Bromham.

Luckily the away ground had a defibrillator at the clubhouse;CPR was administered seconds after his collapse, the defibrillator was then used on Quinton to shock his heart back into a regular rhythm. The young footballer was then rushed to Bristol Children's Hospital where he underwent major heart surgery and was kept in observation for a month.

Sainsbury’s Kidderminster branch has donated Bewdley High School with a life-saving defibrillator. This makes three schools in the Kidderminster area have been made Heart Safe in the past year courtesy of the supermarket, which raised funds to donate Gold Defibrillator Package’s to schools through Hand on Heart.
